This is another great idea I nicked off @reebekwylie (thank you!)... ....Scratch card rewards. These are so simple to make (although not exactly cheap) and apparently the students absolutely love them! Just make your cards with various prizes on (lolly pop, sweets, chocolate bar, house points, stationery etc.). Then cover up the prize using a sticker from Scratch Labels or make your own. The labels should scratch off really easily and the sticker part is clear meaning you can see the prize underneath. I'm going to trial this with my tutor group first of all and will keep you updated on how it goes. Here is Rebecca's blog post.. I also like @SarahPym's idea of laminating them so they can be re-used. Would be a good way of saving money on printing costs. @emziecampbell used her scratch labels as part of a starter activity for a lesson observation. I'd quite like to try this one some time too!

In this pack you will find: -GCSE MFL information sheet -Reading and listening tips -Starter activity PowerPoints with vocabulary taken from AQA Spanish Revision Guide -Useful MFL websites sheet -Links and QR codes to vocab learning games on Memrise -Link and QR code to WordReference (online dictionary) -Link and QR code to Acapela - a site to help with pronunciation -Links and QR codes to sites which could help listening skills -Controlled Assessment Support Sheets -Tenses recap booklet -Vocabulary cards - All vocab taken from AQA Spanish Revision Guide. One pack per topic. Ask students to match up the cards/test each other or you could test them and whoever says word first gets to keep the card - student with most cards at the end wins sweets/house points (my Y10s love this and get really competitive). Tip - Print each individual pack on different coloured card so if cards end up on the floor you know which pack they belong to. -Links to great resources on TES You may also like to take a look at my Independent Learning Folders. These are great for supporting students with their controlled assessments. Hope you find these useful and I'd appreciate any feedback! (See below to download any of these resources!) Gianfranco Conti has also made some brilliant GCSE MFL resources. I particularly like his GCSE Spanish - revision quickies. Dannielle
