Christmas. For me, it really is the most wonderful time of the year. A time for Sunday roasts and cheese boards. A time for gingerbread lattes. A time for tinsel and baubles and fairy lights. The obligatory viewing of Will Ferrell in an elf costume and the Kevin McCallister takedown of two crooks. A time for onesies and awful Primark jumpers. A time for drinking Baileys and singing carols. A time for Christmas markets and drinking Glühwein. 30 of us all crammed into Nanna Betty's small living room, sitting on emergency chairs and enjoying her home-made sherry trifle.
But it's also a time for sharing, which is why I've decided to share one resource every day for the next 24 days in my MFL Advent Calendar. So feel free to check out my blog over the next month as I try to spread some Christmas cheer. Have a magical Christmas. My HoD told me about this great site today and I can't wait to use it with my students. I'm always on the lookout for ways to make my lessons a bit more engaging and what student doesn't love watching a cheeky little YouTube video? These videos will hopefully be a nice way of developing students' listening skills, as well as their Spanish/French pronunciation. I'm planning on using these videos to introduce a new topic at the start of the lesson. Here's an example of one of their vids: Did you know you can use a website called Slideshare to upload your PowerPoint presentations? These can then be embedded onto a blog for students to access at home, for revision or even for flipped learning. Check out the example below... Nous habitons from Dannielle89 |
