A collection of Spanish resources used over a couple of lessons with my top set Y7s. -PowerPoint on Pets and Appearance Pets Lesson -Present Tense 5 Minute Challenge - Starter activity sheet Students have to conjugate the verbs in 5 minutes -Guided Writing / Comprehension sheet Students read through the text and find the translations for the phrases at the side of their sheet. -Translation Grid Students translate the sentences and have the first letter of each word to help them. Appearance Lesson -Retrieval Practice Starter Students try to translate the phrases (vocabulary from last lesson/week/term) on the board and write these in English on their grids. -Celebrity Descriptions Print these out on A4 in colour and stick them up around the room before the lesson. -Celebrity Vocab Hunt Students have to walk around the room and find out the vocabulary for themselves (the underlined words on the Celeb Descriptions sheets) and write these in their grid, followed by a quick bit of pronunciation practice using the ppt. -Listening File (transcript included) Many thanks to my fab colleague, Vera for recording this for me! Students note down in English info about hair and eyes, plus any extra details. -Detectives - Reading Exercise Students read through the text and either highlight in different colours or copy the translations below next to the English.
